Employer guide: how to write an effective job advertisement

September 1, 2026

A clear advertisement reduces unsuitable applications and improves hiring speed.

Use a recognized job title

Choose a market-recognized title, then clarify seniority, department and location. Vague or promotional titles weaken search results.

Separate duties from requirements

Explain daily responsibilities and expected outcomes, then list essential experience, qualifications and skills separately from preferences.

Clarify working terms and compensation

State full-time or part-time, onsite, hybrid or remote, and working hours. A salary range or benefit explanation builds trust.

Respect the candidate

Request only necessary information, charge no candidate fees and update application status where possible. Candidate experience affects employer reputation.
